According to a report from Zibo News Network, on July 15, the signing ceremony for the establishment of the "China-South Korea Vacuum Equipment Research Center" in Zibo was held in the Economic Development Zone, marking the launch of a new model for collaborative innovation in advanced technologies. This event signifies that our city has achieved new, substantive progress in economic and trade cooperation with Daegu City in South Korea. The signing ceremony was jointly witnessed by the Management Committee of the Zibo Economic Development Zone, the Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Municipal Institute for Product Quality Inspection, Zibo Vacuum Pump Factory Co., Ltd., South Korea’s BIDAT Group Corporation, and South Korea’s Dongbang Machinery & Engineering Co., Ltd.
Zibo is an important industrial base in Shandong Province. Motor, pump, and valve manufacturing is one of our city’s key industries, and Zibo proudly bears the title of “China’s Famous Pump City.” In particular, our city’s electromechanical pump and valve industry boasts a long history and a solid foundation. After decades of development, many of our products have earned a high reputation both nationally and globally. Daegu, as South Korea’s third-largest city and a major industrial hub, continues to enhance its traditional industries such as textiles while simultaneously strengthening its development in fields including healthcare, smart automobiles and robotics, new renewable energy, electronic information, and mechatronics. Daegu enjoys strong competitive advantages in these areas, and there lies great potential for cooperation with our city’s industries.
To deeply implement the innovation-driven development strategy, accelerate the transformation of old and new growth drivers, broadly connect domestic and international collaborative innovation resources, and enhance the technological level and innovation capabilities of enterprises’ flagship products, the Municipal Product Quality Inspection Research Institute and Zibo Vacuum Pump Factory Co., Ltd. have integrated resources from various parties in South Korea to jointly establish the Zibo “China-Korea Vacuum Equipment Research Center.” This initiative has brought new development opportunities to our city’s motor, pump, and valve industry, playing a positive role in helping the industry adjust its structure, improve quality and efficiency, and move toward high-end, high-quality, and high-efficiency development.
